Issue 1 is a sell out; a directors cut & July event; Orbital comics; issue 2 in production

Almost 2 months on from the launch, our initial run of 150 copies of Apes ‘n’ Capes #1 is almost sold out. We’re very pleased at how steady sales, and therefore interest, has been. And while we’re doing our best at promoting the comic, credit must go to Ian at Dead Universe Comics for being such an enthusiastic salesman.

The good news is though, that we will be going for a second print run this month. It gives us the opportunity to produce a special edition run too (a directors cut?). Adorning the pages of episode 1 will be the 8 pages of our original prologue episode, all wrapped up in a variant cover. Hopefully we’ll have this ready in time for Dead Universe’s official launch event, which I think will be on the 21st July in our home town of Aylesbury.

In other news, Central London’s finest comic shop, Orbital Comics, is now stocking copies of #1. We’re really chuffed about this, and hopefully will get Apes ‘n’ Capes out to a wider audience! Other comic shops in London watch out – we might be coming for you too!

We’re also keen to let you know that the script for Apes ‘n’ Capes #2 is almost complete, and pre-production on the artwork has begun. Stay tuned!
